The Team

So, you want to know more about our team, you've come to the right page. Here you'll learn a little bit about our team and its members.

Our team first originated in the summer of 2002. I had tried my hand at fan gaming alone but to no avail. A few weeks later, my friend stumbled upon the old crappy game on my computer, so he started to play it. He told me that he wanted to do that, so I explained to him how to organize a level and how to do the basic programming that I knew. So I let him go and when he came over the next time, he had a platform movement level that had Sonic backgrounds and Mario music. Well, I told him that they don't mix and that I would help him. So in the months following, we had organized ourselves and one other friend into the Chao Killer Team. Now my two friends were handling the level design, better than the first attempt, mind you. And I was left alone to "program" it all in TGF and MMF. So that's how our team came to be, now about us.

Blyde - It's the spriting dude! He has contributed a lot to our project, Emerald Ties: Crossing Fates. He made the sweet looking Sonic sprite that's being used in ET: CF =P.

Frank the Hedgehog - And out of no where, Frank makes a reappearance. After regaining internet access, Frank rejoined the team to help with ET:CF's graphical and even some musical needs.

Gamerdude - The first, one and only game "programmer". I started from the basic platform movement events, worked my way up to static, and finally 360 degree movemnt, which is what the game now uses. Besides engine work, I do just about anything that includes making events (everything but level design and graphics). I also maintain the site, as well as keep connections to the rest of the Sonic Fan Gaming community. I am the leader of the team =P.

Rael0505 - Although he's not a full-time member due to his many undertakings, he is very dedicated to ET:CF. Once a tester and someone to throw around ideas with, his role has changed. He's one of the big background designers on the team now. His level designing still continues, but background work remains his primary focus.

Travis - Everyone welcome Travis, the newest addition to CKT! His skills in designing levels is unmatched on the team, so obviously, that's his focus. From what we've seen so far, we expect some great designing out of him. His speed in combination with his skills makes him the ideal level designer.

Zalorus Hedgie - Zalorus does a lot of miscellaneous jobs, as well as level design. He's working on the intro for ET:CF as well as a variety of other assorted things of goodness. He's very eager to work hard, and we can't wait to see what he'll be able to do for the team.

Retired Members

Like on most teams, some members leave over time. Here's a list of our previous members, but have now either gone or are highly inactive members.

Knux the Hobo - The first level designer to be in the team. Him and I both built Sonic Slash from the ground ourselves. Yes, this is the guy who made the level with the Sonic background and Mario music, but don't worry we fixed that. He was with the team since the beginning. He resigned around the time Emerald Ties was created (August 2004) due to lack of interet in Sonic.
Project(s) worked on: Sonic Slash

Knucks96 - He contributed to both level design and engine work. If there was a bug or something that wasn't perfect, he'd find it. He made the ice level in the second demo of Sonic Slash. After awhile, his willingness to participate tampered off.
Project(s) worked on: Sonic Slash

Sonikka - Sonikka has helped out on several occasions when we've run into graphic problems. He's the one who provided me with the lovely Sonic sprite seen in demo 4 of Sonic Slash. He's been on and off of the fangaming scene for the past year or so.
Project(s) worked on: Sonic Squared

SupaChao - Supachao has helped out with graphics and ideas. He has been preoccupied with other projects and hasn't really done much in awhile.
Project(s) worked on: Sonic Slash and Emerald Ties
